I am starting something new and I am hoping that 1 – I can keep it up and 2 – it will help to better link my social media sites together. I’ve seen many successful bloggers that do this, so I am hoping on the bandwagon and I am hoping you all will help keep me on track.
I am going to write a post about any YouTube video that I make. It’s more beneficial for the card making design videos I do, but I want to try it with even the haul videos. Today’s video is a mix of my last blog post about the canvases and a shopping haul.
If you read my last post, you know that I made two canvases – one using distress ink and one using paint. While I do like the way the distress inked one came out, the ink doesn’t totally dry and it rubs off on your hands. Not a great thing to have happen lol. The second canvas was done in a dark blue paint. The first time I tried to write the quote I used paint. That didn’t turn out so great so I repainted the canvas and I took a silver marker and wrote the quote on it.
As for the haul, I think I found a lot of great products. First, if you haven’t checked out AC Moore’s new app, download it. You get a 55% off coupon and for today I believe there is also a 55% off coupon. (It’s either today or tomorrow I can’t remember). And, if you don’t know this either, you can use AC Moore coupons at Michael’s! I did yesterday and I got a pack of 2 rolls of ATG tape for $4.50! That’s the acid free one too. Pretty good deal!
I like to go down the aisles and check out the red clearance tagged items. I found two new punches this way. They are EK Success ones, which are good quality. Punches can be hard to store, but I do have some room in my craft closet for a couple more! : )
I also like to pay attention to the signs. Lots of stores are careless when they take down signs. Some aren’t taken down and you can get last week’s sale price if they forget. I’ve done that many of times. Also, if the products are in two locations (like the Heidi Swapp stuff I show in the video below), there may not always be a second sign. That’s frustrating as a consumer, but you have to keep your eyes peeled at all times!! You never know what you might find!
